Ken Kagami is a contemporary artist who continues to create artworks across a range of genres, including social phenomena, current events, various issues in art history, and culture, transforming them into humorous ideas. These artworks include sculptures, paintings, drawings, videos, and performances. Many of his sculptures are made using items found in American thrift stores and the thrift shops you'll find on Tokyo's streets.

Thrift stores and recycle shops, which handle unused items, are symbols of the sadness of consumer society, but when viewed through Kagami Ken's work, they are transformed into optimistic and positive ideas. The ironic pranks that we all unconsciously experience as children continue through his work even now as an adult.

This exhibition will feature all of Kagami Ken's previous series, including the found object sculptures that first made an impression on him in the early 2000s, as well as sculptures featuring traditional motifs that take a completely different approach, as well as a series of text-on-canvas works that he has been actively working on in recent years.

From 2pm on September 15th, there will be a public recording event for a radio-style program in which Kagami Ken himself will act as the radio personality, titled "Ken Kagami's All-Night Naked! No Dirty Jokes Allowed Version!" In addition, merchandise commemorating the exhibition will also be on sale. The latest information will be posted on the official website (www.parco-art.com) as it becomes available.
