For its second time, the festival has expanded in scale, with over 100 exhibitions to be held mainly in the Omotesando/Gaienmae, Harajuku/Meiji Jingumae, Shibuya/Ebisu, Daikanyama/Nakameguro, and Roppongi/Hiroo areas. This year's face of the event, "DESIGNART Feature," will feature artist Akira Fujimoto and architect Yuko Nagayama, marking their first major collaboration. Sou Fujimoto, a world-renowned architect known for creating clear and impressive architecture, will be participating as the creator of the installation. Johnny Chiu, a notable Taiwanese architect, will bring his "Happier Café," which won last year's International Interior Design Competition for its innovative paper-based design, to Japan. Grand Seiko will debut its much-talked-about art installation, "THE FLOW OF TIME," in Japan, after debuting at this year's Milan Salone. Champagne Maison Perrier-Jouët will present a work created specifically for Perrier-Jouët champagne at the Spiral Café in Aoyama, the central area of the event, featuring the acclaimed British product designer Laura Wood.

An essential part of enjoying this event is the special space created through the collaboration between the venue and the artwork, which is not normally visible.
At B&B Italia Tokyo, Yoshizoe Hiroto will present a new installation inspired by beautiful showrooms, using his own work "PIXEL."
At Loveless Aoyama, a capsule collection created in collaboration with art director MOTTY will be exhibited, while the popular fashion brand kolor will exhibit "Silver Floats," created by media artist Ochiai Yoichi in collaboration with TDK. Additionally, SALIOT, a new LED lighting brand, will create a collaborative space featuring light-themed Akoya pearl artworks by 19 creators from Japan and abroad, along with SALIOT's lighting and "sound."
Satoshi Itasaka of h220430, an architect and product designer highly acclaimed both in Japan and overseas, will exhibit "Neba Chair," an exhibition themed on "wood," a symbol of Japanese culture, using wood from multiple countries and regions that face issues such as forest environments and economic disparities to create chairs, furniture that is closest to humans, allowing visitors to enjoy seeing, touching, and learning about wood from various regions. The spatial collaboration with the Fred Perry Shop Tokyo, which has an impressive, beautiful atrium, is also a must-see.

Ginza Sony Park, which opened on the site of the former Sony Building in Ginza, is planning to hold the exhibition "Hidden Senses at Ginza Sony Park" from the end of September to the end of October. "Hidden Senses," which was exhibited by Sony Corporation Creative Center at Milan Design Week 2018, the world's largest design event, held in April this year, attracted a lot of attention. This experiential exhibition, which will be unveiled for the first time in Japan, will allow visitors to experience technology that is close to people and their lives through Sony's unique products and spaces.
In addition, various projects will be held in conjunction with this event, including the presentation of the latest design and interior designs by world-class designers, an exhibition of works by young creators through the young creator support program "UNDER-30," and a notable group exhibition bringing together the works of up-and-coming creators.
Sweden is a partner country, celebrating 150 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, and the World Kita-Aoyama Building will host "Young Swedish Design 2018" as part of the Swedish design project "Swedish Design Moves Tokyo 2018," exhibiting works by up-and-coming designers.
