Kinoshita's delicious raisin butter sandwich, filled with plenty of cream and large raisins [Summer souvenir]

Jul 30, 2018

Plump and round, with plenty of butter cream and large rum raisins.
My first encounter with the Raisin Butter Sandwich from Kinoshita, a "small cafe with delicious sweets and books" in Hyogo Prefecture, was when I fell in love with its cute appearance at first sight. I immediately ordered one.

It arrived via refrigerated delivery, and as soon as I opened the box, the raisins were strung together like sparkling jewels, and the sight alone was enough to captivate me.

All come in a gift box

The fluffy, rich butter cream sandwiched between moist, lightly sweet cookies has a rich, firm texture like whipped cream. The cream threatens to spill out with one bite, so eat carefully to prevent it from spilling, and savor the taste along with the crunchy raisins. Finally, enjoy the subtle flavor of rum that wafts through your nose...

It was so delicious, it was beyond imagination, unlike anything I'd ever tasted before.

The butter cream is made with domestic butter and homemade rum raisins. "I make everything with the utmost care," says shop owner Kinoshita, and his "Raisin Butter Sandwich" is a gentle, flavorful treat brimming with love.

It's recommended to eat it chilled for a refreshing taste, or at room temperature like a cake.

It comes as a two-box set, so I bought one as a treat for myself and the other as a gift for a special someone.
