"namie amuro Final Space," an experiential exhibition tracing the career of artist Namie Amuro, who will retire on September 16, 2018, will be held this summer at four venues in Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Okinawa. The final day at each venue is September 16, the day of her retirement.

In Tokyo, the exhibition will be held at Hikarie Hall on the 9th floor of Shibuya Hikarie from July 26 to September 16. Titled "search for the memory of namie amuro," the exhibition is based on the song "Dr.", released by Namie Amuro in 2009, and features an attraction-style space where visitors can enjoy videos while touring the venue. A mysterious woman who has been ordered by Dr. Chronos, a professor featured in the lyrics, to "collect Namie Amuro's memories" is sent from the year 3000 AD to the present day, where she traces her journey alongside visitors in this new type of exhibition.

A special video was shot specifically for this exhibition, depicting Namie Amuro's "Final Space." The Osaka and Fukuoka venues will feature an exhibition-style space based on the concept of "storage of namie amuro," which will look back on her activities to date through "objects," with a focus on her costumes. In Osaka, the first phase will run from July 14th to 29th, and the second phase will run from August 11th to September 16th. Both will be held at the Knowledge Capital Event Lab in Grand Front Osaka. Numerous costumes from music videos like "Showtime" and "Fashionista" will be on display, as well as live performances like "namie amuro 5 Major Domes Tour 2012 ~20th Anniversary Best~" and "namie amuro LIVE STYLE 2016-2017." The final room will recreate the live performance atmosphere of "CAN YOU CELEBRATE?" using stage footage and costumes from the final tour, produced by the Canadian creative collective "Moment Factory," which became a hot topic during the tour. In Fukuoka, the exhibition will run from August 12th to September 16th at the Mitsukoshi Gallery in Fukuoka Mitsukoshi Department Store. Like the Osaka exhibition, the exhibition will feature a collection of Namie Amuro-related items. Numerous costumes from music videos including "SWEET 19 BLUES," "Mint," and "Just You and I," as well as live performances such as those from "namie amuro BEST FICTION TOUR 2008-2009," will be on display. In the final room, stage footage from the final tour, also produced by Moment Factory, and costumes will be used to recreate the live performance space where "Finally" was sung.

Additionally, in Namie Amuro's hometown of Okinawa, a specially curated selection will be exhibited under the title "Homeland of Namie Amuro." The exhibition will run from August 2nd to September 16th on the third floor of the Plaza House Shopping Center in Okinawa City. The lineup is unique to Okinawa, including costumes from "namie amuro 25th ANNIVERSARY LIVE in OKINAWA," held in Ginowan last year, the phantom costumes from the 20th anniversary concert in Okinawa that was supposed to be held in 2012, and a recreation of the "NEVER END" live performance space using stage footage and costumes from her final tour produced by Moment Factory. Costumes from the NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen will also be on display.
For 25 years since her debut, Namie Amuro has continued to be loved by many people and at the forefront of the music industry. This exhibition will look back on Amuro's career in an unprecedented way and connect it to the future.
