The Kyoto Okazaki Music Festival 2018 OKAZAKI LOOPS is an unprecedented music festival originating from Kyoto. A satellite venue will be set up at JR Kyoto Isetan from June 6th to 12th, focusing on "Soutaiseiriron," a group led by artist Yakushimaru Etsuko, who will be performing in Kyoto for the first time in eight years.

The third annual Kyoto Okazaki Music Festival 2018 OKAZAKI LOOPS is a music festival that allows visitors to enjoy a loop around the Okazaki area, Kyoto's cultural zone, which is home to theaters, art museums, libraries, parks, and more, centered around ROHM Theatre Kyoto. This year, the festival will be held over two days, June 23rd and 24th.

Ahead of the event, JR Kyoto Isetan will open a satellite venue. The pop-up store, "Variable Separation Market," will focus on "Relativity Theory," led by Yakushimaru Etsuko, who will be performing "Variable Separation," her first Kyoto performance in eight years as the main artist.
"Relativity Theory" is a diverse group of artists who have consistently worked independently on numerous projects and have been awarded the Grand Prix at the Ars Electronica STARTS Prize, the world's largest media art festival. The pop-up store will sell a variety of rare live merchandise, including new works, as well as CDs and records. Visitors can also immerse themselves in the artist's unique worldview through video works that will be streamed on the venue's monitors.
Also, during the event period, the first 300 people who download the "Isetan STORE App" and show the app's homepage at the special venue will receive an original event-theory "Theory of Relativity presents Variable Separation" tin badge.

In addition, with music as its common theme, the art museum "Eki" KYOTO on the 7th floor of JR Kyoto Isetan will be holding a rock music-related exhibition "ROCK: POWER, SPIRIT & LOVE" from June 9th to July 1st. Approximately 20 creators, including Kishin Shinoyama, Yumi Matsutoya, Tomoyasu Hotei, and Takeshi Kobayashi, will exhibit record jackets, videos, musical instruments, costumes, and their own works to introduce their connections with rock.
As a related event, LIMI feu's "LIMI feu LIMITED SHOP" will be held from June 6th to 12th at The Stage #3 on the 3rd floor of JR Kyoto Isetan. LIMI feu is in charge of the Western costumes for the fashion event "FASHION CANTATA FROM KYOTO" to be held at Kyoto Theater on June 9th. They will be introducing a collection linked to the event's theme, "ROCK."
In addition, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Michael Jackson's birth, the official apparel brand Michael Jackson by ROCK A THEATER, supervised by Gota Nishidera of NONA REEVES, will be available for a limited time from June 13th to 19th at the special venue on the 3rd floor of JR Kyoto Isetan.
