Emporio Armani presented its Spring/Summer 2023 women's show in Milan.
"At the intersection of everyday life and travel"
With a free mind and a free spirit, even the confines of one's room can lead one to imagine a journey to cities around the world. Travel is an important aspect of Emporio Armani's identity, and as the name suggests, the collection is permeated with eclecticism, the effortless combination of opposites.

This collection, constructed with lightness and linearity, reaffirms the essence of things. The destination of the journey is a fantasy location, perhaps somewhere in the Orient. Soft yet precisely crafted, jackets, peacoats, and dusters are designed for the city, with flowing silhouettes, rhythmic patterns, and slim volumes. The collection is inspired by taking travel favorites out of a suitcase and mixing them with existing treasures.

Blazers are worn over sarongs, a skirt inspired by traditional attire, and shirts are elongated to be worn like outerwear. Everything flows and moves effortlessly around the body, creating a soft, vertical silhouette. Each look is accessorized with flats. This movement of combining old favorites with new additions is also reflected in the color palette. Urban neutrals, blacks, and whites give way to pastel mauves and greens, long dresses and weightless jumpsuits emitting a luminous glow, while the recurring use of black accessories like bags and hats evokes the faint, handwritten drafts of travel stories.
