Katakana Jiyugaoka will be hosting a "Small Bag Exhibition" from May 11th to 25th, featuring a selection of small bags from 10 noteworthy brands.


Katakana is a shop with a concept of "a souvenir shop that brings together all the cool things in Japan," offering a wide selection of items from all over Japan, including traditional crafts, local specialties, stationery, Western goods, and items by artists.

The "Small Wallet Exhibition" held in March of this year was a huge success, with a flood of male customers flocking to the store, which is usually crowded with female customers. This "Small Bag Exhibition" was held based on the idea that "Once you have a small wallet, you'll want a small bag as well." Recently, in addition to women strolling briskly through town with small bags, men have also become aware of the lightness of carrying sacoche and pochette bags.

Participating brands include irose, StitchandSew, Southern Field Industries, SUOLO, don't try, Leather Workshop hibi, VALLEY SHELL, short finger, sonor, and made in west.

In addition, as a related event, the "hirari/Atsushi Hirayama's Leather Craft Marche" will be held from May 11th to 14th. Hirayama's individually hand-sewn leather accessories will be on display, including the "coin purse," a tiny wallet that fits in the palm of your hand.
