Marni and Porter have announced their 11th Tribal Collection for Fall/Winter 2018. It will be released in two parts, on April 27th and May 23rd.

The Tribal Collection, designed by Marni's new Creative Director, Francesco Risso, was inspired by his travels to various countries, including Africa. The collection features two vibrant prints and woven cords, characteristic of Marni. Available in three color variations: olive green with a bold yellow accent, blue with a distinctive contrast to wine red, and solid black with striking yellow tape.

The Cordura® ripstop nylon material is firm yet extremely lightweight, making the bag almost unnoticeable when carried by hand. It's also water-repellent, allowing you to carry even relatively large backpacks and two-way bags without worrying about their weight. The logo plate on the bottom right of the bag is crafted from Italian domestic calf leather, also used in Marni's original line, enhancing the overall look of the bag.

This new bag design, created from scratch specifically for this collection, features a front pocket and cord details running down both sides of the bag for a more active feel.


On April 27th, we will be releasing the functional "RUCKSACK" backpack (W45×H50×D17cm ¥81,000) with four external pockets, and the simple "BACK PACK" daypack (W27×H42×D12cm ¥47,000, Olive Green/Blue, Black) featuring Marni's signature prints. The two items on sale are the "FLAT POUCH" (W22 x H38 x D11cm, 20,000 yen), which can also be used as a mini tote bag (44,000 yen), and the "FLAT POUCH" (W22 x H38 x D11cm, 20,000 yen), which can also be used as a mini tote bag.

Also available: the large-capacity "LONG WALLET" (W20 x H11 x D3 cm, ¥30,000), the compact "CARD CASE" (W10 x H9 x D1 cm, ¥15,000), and the easy-to-carry "COIN CASE + SHORT STRAP" (W7.5 x H7.5 x D1 cm, ¥15,000). In addition to the "Porter Strap" (14,000 yen), the "CARABINER STRAP" (4,000 yen) and "NECK STARAP" (7,000 yen) will also be released on the same day, with a Marni tag on the main tape and the Porter logo engraved on the carabiner.

On May 23rd, we will be releasing the large-capacity 2-way tote bag "2WAY SHOPPER" (W45×H50×D26cm Olive Green/Blue ¥57,000, Black ¥53,000), as well as the 2-way bag "2WAY KNAPSAC" (W33×H47×D1cm) featuring Marni's signature prints, allowing you to enjoy it casually and easily. The new products include the "BUM BAG" (W33 x H13.5 x D12cm, olive green/blue for 31,000 yen, black for 30,000 yen), a soft and lightweight body bag that's so light you'll forget you're wearing it (32,000 yen), and the "BUM BAG" (W33 x H13.5 x D12cm, olive green/blue for 31,000 yen, black for 30,000 yen).

In addition, to commemorate the release of this collection, pop-ups will be held at Hankyu Men's Tokyo from April 25th to May 1st, Ginza Mitsukoshi from April 25th to May 8th (the collection will be on sale at both Hankyu Men's Tokyo and Ginza Mitsukoshi from April 27th), Isetan Haneda Store (Men's) Terminal 1 from May 23rd to June 28th, and Hankyu Men's Osaka from May 30th to June 5th.
