Yves Saint Laurent Beauté will release its 2018 Summer Look, "URBAN ESCAPE," in limited quantities on May 1st.
The 2018 Summer Collection, inspired by the image of a woman escaping the hustle and bustle of the city and living a casual, edgy life, features 11 items, including an eyeshadow palette, face powder, lip color, and nail polish, in vibrant colors reminiscent of the scorching summer sun and bleached nuances reminiscent of an empty pool.
The eyeshadow palette "Palette Urban Escape" (7,900 yen), which embodies the image of the collection, is a five-color combination of sophisticated grayish blue and green shades with a dazzling silver sparkle. The carefully selected colors allow for versatile finishes, from natural to dramatic. The sun-bleached asphalt-colored palette features the shaded YSL Cassandra logo.
The brand's best-selling lipstick, Rouge Volupté Shine (4,100 yen each), is now available in two limited-edition red shades. The smooth texture blends seamlessly into the lips, creating a sensual accentuated look. Volupté Tint-in-Balm (4,300 yen each), which combines the contrasting finishes of a tint and balm, comes in soft pink and nude tones. La Laque Couture nail polish (3,200 yen each), known for its mirror-like shine, is now available in a new gray, as well as limited-edition red and metallic silver.
In addition, limited-edition colors will be available for the collection's "Saharienne Face Powder Collector" (7,800 yen), a bronze-colored face powder that gives skin a smooth texture and a natural, lustrous finish, and "Babydoll Kiss & Blush" (5,600 yen), which can be used on the lips and cheeks. One new color will also be added to the "Waterproof Eyeliner" (3,300 yen).
The campaign images feature global makeup ambassador Zoe Kravitz appearing solo for the first time, coolly expressing a world view of "urban escape." Also pay attention to the edgy look created by YSL Global Beauty Director Tom Pecheux.
