Longines has been making watches continuously since 1832 in its home base in Saint-Imier, Switzerland. This year marks the 190th anniversary of the brand's history. Named after the place where the brand's first factory was established in 1867, Es Longines, the brand has continuously challenged and innovated in watchmaking ever since. The Longines Master Collection, the company's highest-end line, best embodies Longines' philosophy and technology. Born as a testament to Longines' passion for watchmaking, this collection was launched in 2005 and immediately attracted attention for its combination of design and advanced technology, quickly becoming a signature piece of the brand.
And this year marks the 190th anniversary of the brand's founding, and a commemorative model will be released from this collection. Looking back on 190 years of history, the design is inspired by Longines' past pocket watches and heritage watches, and the intricate and romantic engraved indexes with Breguet numerals add to the special feeling.
The lineup also includes three models: a stainless steel version with a sandblasted silver dial, and a yellow or rose 18K gold model with a brushed gray or grained dark gray dial, limited to 190 pieces worldwide. The dial features hour, minute, and second hands, creating a sophisticated impression, and the sapphire crystal glass with double anti-reflective coating ensures excellent legibility. The watch is powered by a silicon balance spring movement that is backed by a 5-year warranty.
