"Ochiai Yoichi: Beautiful Landscapes ∽ Undisturbed Matter ∽ Computerized Nature," a solo exhibition featuring new and recent works by media artist Ochiai Yoichi, will be held at GYRE in Omotesando from April 20th to June 28th.

Ochiai Yoichi, an associate professor at the University of Tsukuba, has won awards both in Japan and abroad, including the Ars Electronica Prize, a global media art award. This exhibition features recent works that explore the relationship between "image and matter," a theme he has always pursued as an artist, as well as several new works created as a "journey to poetically experience the process of "materialization" inherent in the East," all organized around the motif of "computerized nature," Ochiai's recent artistic thesis. A total of 15 works, including four new pieces such as "Morpho Scenery," will be exhibited at EYE OF GYRE, a gallery on the third floor of GYRE.

In addition, prior to this exhibition, works will be exhibited in GYRE's atrium (open-ceiling space) until May 13th as a satellite project for "Media Ambition Tokyo 2018."
