Dior Maison launches new "Jardin d'Hiver" collection

So described Christian Dior's love for his apartment at 7 Boulevard Jules Sandeau in Paris's 16th arrondissement. Captivated by his passion for "art de vivre," Maria Grazia Chiuri was inspired by this extraordinary home and, in particular, Monsieur Dior's silk tapestries, "Winter Garden" (Jardin d'Hive), embroidered with plants, flowers and birds. Echoing that beauty, motifs of clematis, peonies, dahlias and swallows gracefully adorn carafes, porcelain plates and embroidered placemats. Embroidered cushions, notebooks and candles, in the same tones as this collection that blends heritage and modernity, pay homage to the passion cultivated by Monsieur Dior. "Living in a house that doesn't suit you is like wearing someone else's clothes," recalled the House's founding couturier.
