Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2018 took place from February 27th to March 7th. Even in temperatures as low as -7°C, the gong rang for a heated off-runway battle between fashion industry professionals from around the world! To uncover the "real trends" of street fashion, we conducted exclusive coverage of the 10-day Paris Fashion Week off-runway show. Here are three trend keywords that emerged!

Check is this season's biggest trend! Led by Burberry, many brands featured check patterns in their Spring/Summer 2018 collections, creating a check craze even off-runway this season. However, check patterns encompass a wide range of designs and patterns, with a wide variety of unique styles seen, from street style to modern to masculine. A true fashionista is someone who can modernize and master check patterns!

Writer Ksenia showed off a refreshing spring look in a Miu Miu tattersall check spring coat, paired with a Prada T-shirt and pastel yellow pants. The comical print on the T-shirt and white sneakers create a relaxed feel, effortlessly pulling off check patterns, which can often be cutesy.

Giovanna wore the same Miu Miu tattersall check spring coat as Xenia, pairing it with a high-waisted knee-length skirt and pumps for a girly chic look. While incorporating several colors, the outfit is kept cohesive and avoids being too flashy by keeping it based on orange and a pale color palette. Get inspired by this spring date style!

A model's casual outfit features a menswear-inspired over-checked jacket, giving it a street-style look. The technique of incorporating classic checked items into thoroughly casual styles like hoodies, T-shirts, and jogger pants was seen frequently throughout the collection. This trendy style embodies "street luxury," blending street and classic styles!

Of all the checks, madras check is the one most frequently adopted by brands this season. Tiffany, editor-in-chief of "The Reality Show" and a journalist who contributes to numerous publications, chose Missoni's madras check pants. An '80s-style over-the-shoulder vintage jacket and a metallic silver Sacai shoulder bag create a timeless mix of styles!

Scarves are an easy item for even beginners to incorporate into checks. The model also chose checked pants, showcasing an advanced check-on-check style. While a bit challenging, the scarf, pants, and bag all share orange, creating a cohesive outfit without clashing with each other.

Stylist Eileen showed off a Londoner's style by pairing a tartan jacket with a duffle coat. With oversized corduroy pants and a buttoned-up shirt, this genderless look doesn't even hint at femininity.

Flowers are a staple pattern for spring and summer. This season, original patterns like Prada's comic strip print and Russian brand Vika Gazinskaya's playing card heart print have been eye-catching.
