Until 2015, Tokyu Plaza Shibuya was beloved by Shibuya visitors for 49 years. The new facility will be located on the former Tokyu Plaza site on the west exit of Shibuya Station, where a once-in-a-century redevelopment project is underway. The "Dogenzaka 1-Chome Station Area Type 1 Urban Redevelopment Project," which includes the former Tokyu Plaza and adjacent areas, is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2019. The project's buildings will house commercial areas from the basement to the 8th, 17th, and 18th floors, with the 2nd, 8th, 17th, and 18th floors planned to open as Tokyu Plaza.

Tokyu Plaza Shibuya targets "urban-dwelling adults with mature sensibilities." It offers a unique space and values for these mature adults, honed through a lifetime of experience. It proposes a new lifestyle for a new era, embracing the "authentic, essential, and universal" qualities and enjoying a rich life that matures over time. The concept, "MELLOW LIFE," evokes the richness, beauty, and abundance of light, color, voice, and sound. Shibuya is a city where new trends are born while maintaining diversity, and that's why we will be promoting new values never before seen, such as the joy of aging and enjoying both trends and essential goodness.

The store lineup will meet the needs of mature adults, from beauty, health, and food to support for life plans. Rather than simply offering traditional products and experiences to consumers, we aim to be a commercial facility that promotes a new lifestyle by providing solutions and experiences that can accompany you as a partner throughout your life.
