A market exploring the "good life," "Liver - Nordic lifestyle & Craft -," will be held for two days on March 24th and 25th at the United Nations University Courtyard Plaza and Annex Room in Aoyama, Tokyo.

Liver is a seeker of the good life. It is a new concept market that explores good ways of living, tasteful ways of living, and stylish ways of living through furniture, design, crafts, art, music, drinks, and food from all over the world.
The Nordic Lifestyle Market, which began in December 2015, has been held a total of eight times with the theme of exploring a richer lifestyle, while the Tokyo Craft Market, which began in April 2016, has explored Japanese crafts and manufacturing, as well as art and design. By integrating these elements, the "good life" is unearthed and fermented at each event. The event is based on the hope that visitors to the market will become Livers who explore the good life by experiencing and practicing a space where they can feel their own "good" life through objects and experiences.

For the duration of the event, a space themed on "food and craft" will be created in the Community Lounge, an indoor space at the United Nations University, to embody Liver. As the habit of choosing organic and fresh ingredients becomes widespread, attention is being paid to "under what circumstances," "with whom," and "what ingredients" one uses when eating. This time, the space will be centered around products by ceramic artists participating in the event, as well as tables and chairs. An experiential "Craft Cafe" workshop will also be held, where participants can talk about crafts such as cooking and tableware, and the lifestyle of faraway Scandinavia, while enjoying a delicious meal. Plates and other items used in the workshop will be available for purchase.
The menu for the day will feature fruit sandwiches made with fruit from vendors at the concurrently running Farmers Market, along with coffee to match the meal, proposed by Wataru Kato of Stockholm Roast Tokyo.

In addition, there will be a "Liver Selector Booth," which will be an exhibition booth made up of carefully selected products from the event, focusing on the materials and colors of the products. Customers can enjoy seeing how products that are not usually displayed together influence each other and create a new space.
These spaces were created by Nakajima Koichiro, who primarily designs and designs architectural pieces, but also uses his architectural thinking to express his unique perspective in the fields of design and contemporary art, and is involved in a wide range of design and direction, including architectural design, interior design, venue composition and installation, and furniture and display design.
A lifestyle magazine edited to coincide with this event, "a quiet day" (1,000 yen), will also be on sale. The theme of this issue is "Nordic Entrepreneurship," and it explores the mindset of Nordic entrepreneurs and creators through interviews.
This year's event will see the largest number of stores ever, with 59 stores participating on the 24th and 58 on the 25th. Stores offering products that will assist you in living just the right life will all come together under one roof. The exhibition is packed with attractions, including Scandinavian brands such as Bellbet, which handles European industrial and antique items that combine design and functionality, both famous and unknown, and MICHIO OKAMOTO WAREHOUSE, which handles Scandinavian and European vintage furniture, mainly from the 1950s to 1960s. Other highlights include SIWA | Kamiwa, a brand of everyday items that expand the possibilities of paper, created by Onao, a washi paper manufacturer in Ichikawa-Daimon, Yamanashi Prefecture, a region with a 1,000-year history of washi paper production, in collaboration with industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa; and craft brands such as LTshop in Gaienmae, which showcases the work of young designers and other handicrafts such as pottery and baskets collected from a trip to Lithuania.
