Stopover Tokyo Galleries (gallery-s) is currently hosting "CENTRAL NEW YORK CULTURE," an exhibition and sale event featuring rare sneakers selected from around the world by CENTRAL NEW YORK, a Brooklyn, New York-based artist collective working on the concept of promoting culture.


The Galleries is a concept shop curated by Yuji Takenaka, showcasing art, fashion, and other items that transcend genres and genders. The gallery, which opened on the second floor of Stopover Tokyo in Higashi-Nihonbashi, inherits the DNA of 7 Seven, a select shop that has been in business in Daikanyama for 13 years. "Culture" is an event themed around Central's concept of cultural dissemination, and each time it features an exhibition of works with a different story. Rare and Japan-unreleased models such as the CHANEL x Reebok Insta Pump Fury, which is said to be one of only a few pairs in the world, Nike x Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh, Jordan 10G, Supreme, and Yeezy Boost are on display, along with vintage Nike, Adidas, and Vans from the '70s to the '90s, making it an event that allows visitors to experience current sneaker culture.
