TUDOR is a Swiss watch brand offering mechanical timepieces that promise sophisticated style and unwavering reliability, along with unique value. Throughout its history, TUDOR watches have been chosen by the most fearless adventurers and seasoned professionals.

TUDOR presents the Pelagos 39, a versatile new model. This new model, born from the intersection of the worlds of technical diving and sophisticated urban style, is scheduled to be released in September 2022.

PELAGOS 39
Featuring a grade 2 titanium case, monobloc hour markers made from a luminescent ceramic compound, a quick-adjust clasp and a diver's extension, the Pelagos 39 draws on Tudor's history as a professional diver's watch, combining the versatility of a 39mm case with the radiant sunray satin-brushed bezel and dial to create an amphibious sports watch that combines cutting-edge technology with a refined appearance.

KEY POINTS
1. 39mm satin-brushed grade 2 titanium case with unidirectional rotating bezel, sunburst satin-brushed ceramic bezel insert and 60-minute scale filled with grade X1 Super-LumiNova
2. Sunburst satin-brushed black dial with monobloc applied hour markers made from a luminescent ceramic compound
3. Tudor diver's watch signature "snowflake" hands filled with grade X1 Super-LumiNova
4. COSC-certified Manufacture calibre MT5400 with a non-magnetic silicon balance spring and a power reserve of approximately 70 hours
5. Also included is a grade 2 titanium bracelet with Tudor's exclusive "T-fit" quick-adjust clasp and diver's extension, as well as a black rubber strap with a grade 2 titanium buckle
/> 6. 5-year international warranty

As part of Tudor's proud range of technical diver's watches, the Pelagos 39 completes the collection with an extremely versatile design. While the Pelagos, Pelagos LHD and Pelagos FXD are heirs to the tradition of pure high-tech diving watches specialised for specific disciplines of professional diving, the Pelagos 39 is a compact, versatile standard mechanical diver's watch with a beautiful sunray satin finish on the dial and bezel insert.

MATT-SHINY CONTRAST
The aesthetic balance of the Pelagos 39 is achieved by contrasting the fully satin-brushed matte case, characteristic of Tudor, with the radiant brilliance of the black ceramic bezel insert. The bezel, with its white luminescent graduations, is slightly larger than the caseband for improved grip. The monobloc applied hour markers, crafted from a luminescent ceramic compound, significantly increase the luminous surface while also highlighting the model's functional beauty. The dial features a flat disc with a subtle sunray satin finish, contrasting with the texture of a conical, bead-blasted flange with a 45° bevel. Completing the two-tone color palette is the glossy cherry red "PELAGOS" inscription at 6 o'clock.

THE MANUFACTURE CALIBRE MT5400
The Pelagos 39 is powered by the Manufacture Caliber MT5400. Robust, durable, reliable, and precise, this movement features a variable-inertia balance supported by a traversing bridge fixed at two points. It also features a non-magnetic silicon balance spring, and the MT5400 is Swiss Official Chronometer Certified. While the certification requires a daily deviation of -4 to +6 seconds in the movement, Tudor has gone even further, achieving a daily deviation of -2 to +4 seconds in the assembled watch. Another notable feature is the power reserve of approximately 70 hours. This means you can take off your watch on Friday night and put it back on Monday morning without having to wind it again.

TITANIUM AND RUBBER BRACELETS
The Pelagos 39 features a fully satin-finished titanium bracelet incorporating a self-adjusting “T-fit” quick-adjust clasp. A simple, tool-free operation allows the wearer to adjust the length in five 8mm positions. The clasp also features a 25mm extension link for wear over a wetsuit. The Pelagos 39 also comes with a black rubber strap that attaches to the case via titanium end links and a titanium buckle, with a rubber extension that allows the strap to be extended to 110mm.

THE PELAGOS FAMILY
Tudor's Pelagos collection represents the forefront of professional diving, offering highly specialized mechanical diver's watches. Currently comprised of four models, the collection is a worthy successor to Tudor's tool watches, which have been worn by pioneers of underwater exploration around the world since the 1950s. Suitable for left-handed or right-handed divers, the Pelagos and Pelagos LHD offer ergonomic solutions for most underwater environments and feature a helium escape valve for saturation diving. Developed in collaboration with the French Navy's combat diver unit, the Pelagos FXD is a mission watch that facilitates countdowns, essential for underwater navigation at depths where decompression is not required. The Pelagos 39, designed to serve as a bridge between land and sea, meets the diver's watch standards set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and is both versatile and aesthetically pleasing.

THE TUDOR DIVERS' WATCH
The history of Tudor's diver's watches began in 1954 with the introduction of the Reference 7922. At the time, this watch boasted water resistance to 100m (330ft), and can be said to be the origin of Tudor's diver's watches. Tudor's philosophy has remained consistent: to create practical watches that combine robustness, reliability, and precision. In the nearly 70 years since the introduction of the Reference 7922, Tudor's diver's watches have continued to evolve based on this philosophy, winning the support of professionals in a variety of fields and navies around the world.
