At the 2018 Fall/Winter Paris Collection, ANREALAGE unveiled the "Onitsuka Tiger x ANREALAGE TIGER MHS CL" sneakers, a collaboration with Onitsuka Tiger, a brand developed by ASICS.
The theme of this season's ANREALAGE collection is "PRISM." Based on Onitsuka Tiger's original "TIGER MHS CL" model, the shoe features a newly developed prism textile (a spectral material) that utilizes the prism phenomenon, which splits light to create rainbow colors. The color shifts from blue to green to yellow to red depending on the light source and viewing angle. The shoes, specially created for this show, transform light into a rainbow of colors, showcasing a multicolored, shifting appearance. The prism textile on the upper changes with everyday movements like walking and running, creating a diverse look.
The design of this collaboration model incorporates the iconography of the "MEXICO 66" collection, but with a modern twist. Instead of using the Onitsuka Tiger stripe, bold lines are incorporated into the design for a clean look. The leather texture and stitching are carefully selected to create a modern sneaker that can be seamlessly combined with casual and formal wear. The classic shark sole has been updated for a more comfortable fit, and the insole uses Ortholite for improved cushioning when putting on the shoes.
