Hoshino Resorts Karuizawa Hotel Bleston Court introduces "Spring News Dessert"

Hoshino Resorts Karuizawa Hotel Bleston Court will be offering the "Spring Message Dessert Course," featuring a wide variety of seasonal strawberries, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from March 23rd to April 8th.

The spring desserts are modeled after a French course meal, featuring strawberries in four dishes: appetizer, soup, main course, and mignardise. The desserts feature a variety of strawberries in sauces, jellies, mousses, sorbets, and more.

Starting with the strawberry salad appetizer "The Arrival of Spring," followed by the chilled soup "Haruakane" shaped like an impressive strawberry sphere, you can choose from two main dishes.

The main dishes are "Flower News," which melts instantly in your mouth like the melting snow of spring, and "Picked Young Leaves," which offers a perfect balance of the subtle bitterness of mugwort, the soft astringency and sweet aroma of green tea, and the sweet and sour taste of strawberries. Both dishes can be ordered individually (1,200 yen).

The course concludes with "Mignardises: Gifts from the Forest," featuring three adorable bite-sized sweets.

This "Spring News Dessert Course" allows you to savor the deliciousness of strawberries, which changes depending on the preparation method and variety.

Also, from March 1st, the hotel will be offering a new type of afternoon tea, "Forest Afternoon Tea," in its open-terrace lounge, where you can enjoy the pastry chef's skill and playful spirit. The price includes a drink and is 4,500 yen (excluding tax and service charge, excluding Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from March 23rd to April 8th).


Instead of the typical high tea tree, light snacks and mignardises that evoke the nature of Karuizawa are displayed in warm wooden boxes, and in the drawers designed to resemble fields, mignardises such as tarts and macarons d'Amien are lined up like a delicate flower field.

The Forest Afternoon Tea, which changes with the seasons, allows you to experience the changing seasons with its flavors. Through afternoon tea using seasonal ingredients such as rape blossoms, cherry blossoms, and mugwort in spring, tomatoes and apricots in summer, pumpkins and grapes in autumn, and pears and yuzu in winter, we will express the four seasons of Karuizawa and convey its splendor.
