JANE SMITH has announced its 2018 Spring/Summer collection.
JANE SMITH is a signature label created by the fictional left-handed character Jane Smith and JOHN MASON SMITH. While retaining vintage, work, and military details, materials, and sewing as much as possible, the brand incorporates modern silhouettes and designs to create liberal products that are not nostalgic.
This season's theme is Talking Heads' 1984 live video, "STOP MAKING SENSE." On stage, they recreated the 80s era with oversized shoulder jackets and tucked slacks worn by lead singer David Byrne. The color palette of purple, pink, orange, beige, green, and burgundy was mixed with various materials such as salt-shrunk fabric, rayon, cupro, synthetic fibers, organza, and linen to create a post-punk look.
