Paul Smith presented his Fall/Winter 2018-19 collection, including 17 women's looks, at the Mode & Design Gakuen Toshi Hall. While the brand's signature tailored look continued this season, the details of each piece were particularly eye-catching. One frock coat, with its seemingly simple silhouette, featured pintucks on the left side only, creating a subtle asymmetrical effect. Other pieces, like a jacket with pleats on the left side only, a jacket mixing botanical-motif jacquard fabric with pintucks, and a coat combining tartan and solid colors, showcased unexpected combinations, each with its own distinctive character. In addition to tailored pieces, fresh elements were scattered throughout the collection, including tartan checks on rider jackets and accented with zippers on the cuffs. The colours are also distinctive, starting with moss green and transitioning through burgundy, blue and turquoise before finally settling back into burgundy - a truly stunning sight. The unexpected colour of the lining also adds to the glamour of the autumn/winter collection.
