Shiseido published the spring issue of its corporate culture magazine on January 15th. The free magazine is distributed at Shiseido-affiliated facilities and a total of 39 bookstores nationwide (as of January 15th).

Starting with this issue, Katsura Maruhashi (Shiseido's Creative Division) has been appointed as the new art director. The special feature theme for "Future" is titled "hello my future," and introduces the future as envisioned by next-generation creators such as actress Sonoya Mizuno, who has appeared in films such as "La La Land," and musician Mei-Ling (Zombie Chang). This issue offers a variety of hints about the future, including interviews with seven people from fields such as language, art, food, and technology, as well as a look at the future from a neuroscience perspective.
Other content includes a rich selection, such as a conversation between actor Taiga and musician Chara, "Salon de Bar Hanatsubaki," an interview with Nakazato Yuima, a poem by Suzuki Ippei, and a special feature on art and makeup by Harada Maha and Yuri Sawako. Also included is a special edition of Isaka Yoko's "July Bunch" (Kuriurisha Branch), winner of the 35th Hanatsubaki Contemporary Poetry Award.

--Tomorrow, a year from now, something vaguely in the future, and the distant future. What kind of future are you imagining right now? Thinking about the world ahead as an extension of the present may make the present more enjoyable or even inspire change. (Excerpt from the magazine)
