Stella McCartney presented her Fall 2018 women's collection and Fall/Winter 2018-19 men's collection at SIR (Studio Instrument Rentals) in Los Angeles on January 16th (local time). The women's collection projected masculine elements onto feminine silhouettes, reinterpreting her signature style to explore the multifaceted side of women. Vivid stripes and zigzag motifs catch the eye. Layered prints create unique optical illusions on dresses and pajamas. Reconstructed lingerie dresses play with unfinished finishes, revealing details, linings, and stitching. This season's tailoring is sharp and modern, with angular lapels, piping, and the signature Savile Row fit. Animal prints are mixed in. Cheetah and leopard spot patterns are featured on silks and knitwear in a variety of shades, from dark to neon. A collaboration with adidas Originals features a tracksuit with sophisticated French lace panels. The men's collection is an effortless wardrobe that blends familiarity and subversive elements with British culture and tradition. Traditional tattersall and gingham shirts are given a sporty look, while painterly camouflage patterns are layered over chic Prince of Wales check to create tailored coats and puffer jackets, exploring new mix-and-match possibilities.
