The PASS THE BATON GALLERY inside the PASS THE BATON Omotesando store will be hosting an event called "DESTINATION by Layout" from January 25th to February 18th, organized by Nakameguro rug shop Layout.


This time we will be introducing unique old rugs purchased from Iran, Turkey, and Morocco. Tribal rugs from Iran are becoming increasingly popular alongside the vintage industrial style trend. The traditional designs that were born out of the lives of tribal people appear fresh, free-flowing, and spontaneous to our eyes, who live surrounded by ready-made products. From Turkey, we will be introducing vibrantly remade rugs made from dyed and patchworked old rugs, and from Morocco, which has been attracting attention for its Beni Ouarlain collection, we will be introducing Azilal rugs woven with colorful cotton scraps.

As you learn about the story behind each rug, you will experience the joy of finding and owning the perfect rug, just like choosing clothes or perfume. It could be the start of a new journey, designing a different lifestyle.
