Stella McCartney presents her Spring/Summer 2018 Men's Collection. Celebrating the spirit of this season are positivity, romance, freedom, and escapism. While traditional wardrobe elements are honoured, playful graphics, contrasting textures, and relaxed silhouettes create an effortless style. Pale sea blue and monochrome pinstripes pop across double-breasted suits. Sandals elevate a formal tailored look, elevating it to a carefree summer style. Tuck a minimalist red jacket into pants for a classic rock singer vibe. Jacquard shirts and boxer shorts featuring delicate English roses are crafted from silky, lustrous fabrics and vibrant neon hues. Romantic multicoloured knitwear showcases the horizon at dusk, evoking a nostalgic scene of the sun setting with a painterly gradient.
Boldly printed on the linings of jackets and shirts are illustrations of Venus by Japanese airbrush artist Peter Sato. Alongside striking words evoking escapism such as "Fantasy," "Paradise," and "Infatuation," the illustrations add a pop impact. Eye-catching outerwear pieces include supple wool trench coats and bohemian suede jackets with fringe detailing. A plastic-treated cotton anorak adds an explosive sporty edge to the collection.
The positive and free-spirited style is completed by tote bags crafted from suede-like or nappa-like materials. These lightweight designs feature a perforated circular logo on the front. Other useful items in the lineup include studded bum bags and micro mini pochettes, perfect for slinging over a coat.
