Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse will be holding "Nabegoya 2018 - Enjoy a hot meal at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse in winter" for 10 days from January 19th to 28th in the event plaza.

Entering the special tent "Nabegoya," the venue, you'll find a row of shops lit with red lanterns, creating a retro Showa-era atmosphere. The venue is divided into two areas: the "Choose Your Own Nabe" area near the entrance, where you can enjoy hot pot dishes from all over Japan and each shop's signature hot pot. The "Make Your Own Hot Pot" area, located on the ocean side of the venue, allows you to customize your hot pot dish to your liking while relaxing in a tatami room. The "Make Your Own Specialty Hot Pot" has a time limit of 75 minutes, with last orders at 60 minutes.

The "Choose Your Own Unique Hot Pot" offers a variety of hot pots, from Akita's famous Kiritanpo hot pot made with handmade Kiritanpo, Hinai chicken, and local vegetables from "Motsunikuten," a hugely popular hot pot shop in Yokohama, to Arashiyama Chanko, a hot pot made with ingredients directly from the Tatsunami stable, which has been the official shop for the Osaka Grand Sumo Tournament for nearly half a century, allowing you to enjoy comparing the flavors of different regions and restaurants, starting with just one bowl.

The highlight of the "Make Your Own Special Hot Pot" is that you can choose from four types of broth (white miso, local chicken salt, grilled flying fish salt, and chicken white soup), six main dishes (Ishikari hot pot (king crab, salmon, scallops), Hama pork hot pot (Hama pork), oyster hot pot (Hokkaido), sculpin hot pot (Hokkaido), Nasai chicken hot pot, and Kujukudori tiger pufferfish hot pot (limited quantity)), 11 types of freshly picked domestic vegetables from Kanagawa Prefecture and Tohoku, rice (limited quantity), and udon finishing ingredients, and create your own original hot pot from over 4,200 combinations.
In addition, this time there will be a free-flowing performance by a guitarist who will sing along to requests. The performances are scheduled for approximately two hours each day, starting at noon on January 19th, 12 noon on the 21st, and 6 pm on the 26th. There will also be a "retro game corner" where you can play nostalgic games like Space Invaders and Smart Ball, fun for children and adults alike.
This is an event that will warm your body and soul during the cold winter. Gather around hot pot, a uniquely Japanese food culture, with friends, loved ones, or family.
