Complements, a collection of adorable chocolates that will catch your eye with their unique shapes and looks, has been announced and is now on sale, and has been met with a great response.
It was created by Australian design studio Universal Favourite. The chocolates are shaped like stairs, and when two of them are combined together they become a cube. Of course you can eat them one by one, but by combining them you can enjoy countless different flavors. This project, which signifies "Let's create something good by coming together," was actually originally conceived as an end-of-year gift for a client who had been kind to the project. Inspired by the complementary relationship between client and designer, the designers wanted to create something original and open to endless combinations. This project, which took place at the end of 2016, received an unexpected response upon its release. Over 100 press inquiries were received, and the positive feedback led to the decision to sell the product to the general public.

After trialing various shapes using 3D printing, the designers decided on a stepped design, carefully selecting the color and visual details. The chocolate was created in collaboration with Bakedown Cakery, another Australian cake shop. There are 12 flavors in total: black sesame, blackberry, cookies & cream, lavender, lychee & coconut, mango, matcha, pistachio, raspberry, salted caramel, dark, and strawberry. Sales have already started on Complements' special website. Only 500 sets are available, so hurry up!
