Lifestyle craft brand HOUSE OF LOTUS opened its flagship store in Aoyama, Tokyo on December 16th.
The store will showcase the exquisite handicrafts, lifestyle goods, and fashion that creative director Karen Kirishima has encountered on her travels around the world, conveying a deeper, more intimate, and richer worldview as a crossroads of diverse cultures. The interior of the two-floor store is based on a chic colonial style.
In addition, at the opening, in preparation for the holiday season, there will be a Matryoshka Market featuring Russian folk art Matryoshka dolls such as Santa Claus and trees, and a Nomad Bazaar focusing on old Turkish kilims and Middle Eastern rugs and cushions.
The Aoyama store also plans to continue holding workshops and events introducing the cultures of various countries.
