The experiential floral art exhibition "FLOWERS by NAKED 2018 -Rondo-" will be held at Nihonbashi Mitsui Hall from January 23rd to February 26th, 2018. With the tagline "The earliest cherry blossom viewing in Japan, in Nihonbashi," it has become an annual New Year's event in the Nihonbashi area.


Based on the concept of "a secret garden found in the city," this exhibition combines fresh flowers, artificial flowers, preserved flowers, projection mapping, decorative objects, sensing technology, sound, and scent to create an unprecedented floral art space and experience that can be enjoyed with all five senses. It is a popular experiential art exhibition that has attracted a total of over 250,000 visitors to date and generated over 47,000 posts on Instagram using the event hashtag (as of December 1, 2017).

This marks the third time the exhibition has been held in Nihonbashi, and compared to the previous two times, the venue usage rate has been expanded to its highest level ever, with a completely revamped version of the previous years' viewing-focused content and traveling venue layout. Like a movie protagonist, visitors can get lost in a fantastical world of flowers and enjoy art that blooms just for them. In addition, there are 10 new interactive experiences that visitors can participate in, including collaborative art with popular brand LANVIN en Bleu and flower field art decorated with fresh spring flowers that also serves as a photo spot. Furthermore, this year's theme is "Rondo," further enhancing the entertainment value. Dancers dressed as spring spirits will perform right before your eyes, and live violin performances will be played every 30 minutes on a flower field stage that interactively links with the spirits' dance. The cherry blossom art exhibit at the venue, "Ousai," offers a unique urban cherry blossom viewing experience, offering an early spring feeling with original flower-themed drinks and sake, including a cherry blossom wine cooler designed by popular Yoyogi-Uehara restaurant 9STORIES and non-alcoholic cocktails inspired by the flower field. Advance tickets (¥1,200) and advance tickets with limited-edition masking tape (¥1,600) are on sale until January 22nd. Purchasers of tickets with masking tape will also receive a special bonus: the artwork will be on display two days earlier than the general public on January 21st, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
