In April 2018, a new community-based commercial facility, "Meets Kokubunji," will open at the north exit of Kokubunji Station.
The facility will occupy the first to fourth floors of the commercial section of the designated facility building, "(tentative name) Kokubunji Station North Exit Redevelopment West Block Building," and will offer a wide variety of shops and content, drawing on the creativity and knowledge cultivated by the Isetan Mitsukoshi Group. Furthermore, the commercial environment will be designed with consideration for the environment and local resources of Kokubunji City, creating a comfortable space that will create a lively new presence at the north exit of Kokubunji Station.

The facility's name, "Meets Kokubunji," is based on the phonetic symbol [miːts] for "meets," representing a place filled with space and comfort where new things and experiences can be discovered, and where "people, things, and experiences" can meet.
The facility's concept is "Store for our gathering," a "comfortable daily place where people, things, and information gather, proposing a lifestyle and a place to gather." In addition to enjoying shopping and dining, the facility will also utilize its space to create a gathering place through workshops and other events. We aim to be a "slightly more upscale" shopping center that offers relaxation and comfort in everyday life and is a source of pride for the local community.

The environmental theme is "Salon de la Nature." While simple, each floor features a design motif inspired by the natural environment, aiming to create a space that "feels like you're in a relaxing salon surrounded by the warmth of nature." This creates a comfortable space that adds color and comfort to everyday life and allows you to feel the rhythm of nature.
Details about the store plan and shop lineup will be announced in due course.
