A fair for the new book "Time of Life: A Botanical Guide to Japan" by flower artist Azuma Makoto and botanical photographer Shiiki Shunsuke is being held at Ginza Tsutaya Books from November 15th to December 15th.


With the global acclaim of Azuma Makoto and Shiiki Shunsuke, who are active not only in Japan but also internationally, the book will be published in Italian, Chinese, and English from this fall to next spring. To commemorate the publication of these international editions, "Time of Life: A Botanical Guide to Japan" (5,184 yen including tax) will be released in a limited edition of 300 copies exclusively at Ginza Tsutaya Books.

This is a new, unprecedented book that has been re-edited from all three volumes of the "Botanical Encyclopedia" series, with chapters that take into consideration the cycle of life, such as the seasons of "birth," "prosperity," "maturity," and "silence." The photo book is also a size larger, allowing you to appreciate the works more dynamically.


In addition to the Japanese version of the "Time of Life Botanical Encyclopedia," this fair will feature a lineup of items that will allow you to enjoy Azuma Makoto's vivid worldview, such as "2009-2011 Flowers (Editioned)" (324,000 yen including tax), a rare collection of works with only 50 copies in the world, which was born from a project to preserve them forever in the form of a book using the medium of photography, and a model kit (10,800 yen including tax) of one of Azuma Makoto's representative works, "Shiki," which features a pine tree suspended in the air by wire in a square frame, which can be enjoyed at home.
