KENZO's pop-up event, "KENZO celebrates JAPAN," will be held at EYE OF GYRE, an art space in Omotesando, from December 7th to February 24th, 2018.

In 1964, Kenzo Takada sailed from Japan to Paris with the dream of becoming an international fashion designer. In 1970, he founded KENZO at Galerie Vivienne, near the current KENZO headquarters. His work has had a major impact on the fashion industry since then, and continues to be etched in the memories of many people, transcending industry boundaries. This exhibition showcases KENZO creations by KENZO Creative Directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim. Motifs from the latest collection will be displayed as artworks. The latest Spring/Summer 2018 collection will be released in Japan first, as well as a limited-edition colorway of the "KENZO Move" sneakers. The latest collection, available at the event store, is fittingly titled "KENZO celebrates JAPAN," and pays tribute to Kenzo Takada's birthplace, Japan. The Spring/Summer 2018 collection, which will be released in Japan first from mid-January 2018, features two of Japan's most iconic muses. One is Ryuichi Sakamoto, a contemporary figure who embodies the brand's vision, a musician and activist. The other is Sayoko Yamaguchi, one of the greatest supermodels the world has ever produced. The sensibilities of these two individuals are deeply woven into the collection. The collection, which celebrates the immeasurable talent of Ryuichi Sakamoto and the charm of Sayoko Yamaguchi, who embodies the possibilities of mixing patterns, prints, silhouettes, and colors, will be released in Japan first at this event store.
During the event period, customers who spend over 27,000 yen (tax included) will receive a limited edition pin badge as a gift.
