Sarutahiko Coffee, a specialty coffee shop newly opened in Ebisu, Tokyo, has collaborated with PORTER to release limited-edition bags perfect for the gift-giving season on December 13th.
These coffee-inspired bags are made from fabric dyed with the dregs of coffee beans that would otherwise be discarded and used to make Sarutahiko Coffee's espresso. Sarutahiko Coffee's president, Tomoyuki Otsuka, personally purchases the coffee beans from the producers and considers their usefulness, ensuring that every last bit is wasted, resulting in a product that is truly unique to a specialty coffee shop. The interior is a stark contrast to the subdued brown tones, with a refreshing blue that evokes the image of Sarutahiko Coffee.
The bag also comes with small portions of espresso coffee beans used by Sarutahiko Coffee. This represents the story of using a bag that starts with the beans, then goes on to enjoy the delicious coffee, and then uses the dregs without wasting them. The limited edition Sarutahiko Coffee x PORTER collaboration bag will be sold at all Sarutahiko Coffee stores (Annex Mameya, Chofu Roasting Hall, Atelier Sengawa, and Omotesando store) and the Sarutahiko Coffee official online shop.
