AMI ALEXANDRE MATTIUSSI has unveiled its 2018 Pre-Fall collection. This marks the brand's first pre-collection. In response to growing demand for new items and variations throughout the season, driven by the brand's recent global expansion and online store expansion, the brand aims to expand its lineup year-round. The first collection features 16 looks, mixing classic pieces with seasonal touches. The blend of traditional, sports, and work styles evokes AMI's signature relaxed mood while evoking a sophisticated Parisian chic. Cropped wide cargo pants are styled with zip-over shirts, open-collar shirts, and colorful Aran knits for a clean look. Beautifully tailored heritage check jackets and long coats are layered with parkas for a casual look. Utility jackets and grained leather bomber jackets offer lightweight, compact silhouettes while also providing excellent warmth. The popular carrot pants now come with a new two-pleat design. The signature "ami de couer" is embroidered prominently on the intarsia knit, expressing the brand's cheerfulness and playfulness.
For the launch of this collection, designer Alexandre Mattiussi gave extensive thought to "what kind of clothes do modern men want to wear?" and "what kind of clothes would make their wardrobe cooler," and designed the pieces following a simple intuition. The mix of sophisticated elegance and relaxed silhouettes is the very essence of the brand, and can be said to express Parisian style itself.
