The contemporary art fair "ART in PARK HOTEL TOKYO 2018" will be held at the Park Hotel Tokyo.

This is the third time the fair is being held, and by cooperating with "Art Fair Tokyo" and coordinating the fair dates, the aim is to create an art fair specializing in vivid and unique contemporary art.

A total of 42 galleries (16 in Tokyo, 24 outside Tokyo, 1 in Taiwan, 1 in South Korea) will exhibit, transforming hotel rooms into galleries to exhibit and sell their best works. Genres range from paintings to sculptures, prints, photography, and full-space installations. This fair brings together the hottest contemporary art of the moment. One of its distinctive features is the large number of galleries based outside of Tokyo. The exhibition will feature a small, elite group of artists showcasing high-quality presentations of artworks that are rarely seen in Tokyo. The use of hotel rooms also makes it easier to imagine an art collection at home.

The venue, Park Hotel Tokyo, has earned high praise for its proactive use of art as a branding tool, winning the Area Excellence Award at the 3rd Japan Tourism Awards this year for its pioneering "Artist in Hotel Project," which transforms hotel rooms into art spaces. From the gallery booth windows, visitors can enjoy views of Hama-rikyu Park to the east and Tokyo Tower to the west. Enjoying the art in a prime location is another attraction.
