The MIKIMOTO GINZA TREE 2017 will be exhibited and presented from November 23rd to December 25th at the MIKIMOTO Ginza 4-Chome flagship store, which had its grand opening in June.
The MIKIMOTO Jumbo Christmas Tree was a beloved winter feature in Ginza for nearly 40 years, until 2014. This winter, which marks the first since the flagship store was rebuilt, a tree made of urea crystals (an organic compound) will be exhibited and illuminated in the large 7m high, 7m wide show window that connects the streets of Ginza with MIKIMOTO. The tree was designed by we+, a contemporary design studio that pursues experimental approaches utilizing technology and special materials. The unique, natural formations are mysterious and beautiful, captivating the hearts of those who see them. MIKIMOTO's ever-evolving new tree will adorn the streets of Ginza.
