Hasegawa Kazuki's embroidery exhibition, "Thrilled by the Transcendental Embroidery of Western Court Costumes," will be held from November 14th to 30th in the gallery on the fourth floor of the Kobe Fashion Museum.

Hasegawa Kazuki began embroidering after coming across an embroidery textbook while working as a salaryman. He was so moved by the transcendental embroidery on a man's court costume housed in the Kobe Fashion Museum's collection that he saw at an exhibition, he embarked on a path of full-fledged embroidery, determined to one day recreate the costume with his own hands. This exhibition will feature a number of works that embody this dream. On November 23rd and 26th, there will also be a demonstration event where you can see how 18th century embroidery, including gold thread embroidery and plant embroidery, is reproduced.
