3.1 Phillip Lim's Spring 2018 collection installation was held on October 14th during Shanghai Fashion Week.
The exhibition, a collaboration between floral artist Mark Cole, exhibition designer Andrew Hondrejac, and sound designer Sébastien Perrin, was open to the public for a limited time from October 15th to 16th. The venue was filled with spaces that interpreted the Spring 2018 collection, which was shown during New York Fashion Week in September, using only flowers.
The maze-like spaces were carefully designed to allow visitors to enjoy different worlds, with each room offering a unique journey. Each room is a fusion of color, light, sound, and the space itself. The installation features dahlias, hydrangeas, and delicate glomerata, as well as moss sculptures that play sounds when touched. Titled "Fashion, Art, Flora: A Dialogue in Bloom," the installation offered Phillip Lim an opportunity to explore the interconnections of disparate art forms.
