Yoyogi Village, whose general producer Kobayashi Takeshi designed the entire facility, will be holding its first ever Halloween event, "HALLOWEEN PARTY in Yoyogi Village," on October 21st, with a Mexican Halloween theme. Among the exhibitors will be Chichineo, which offers a colorful and uplifting selection of items, from miscellaneous goods and accessories collected from travels in Mexico to handicrafts by local artisans and even hilarious quirky items; XOCHI&MAYA, which offers original items focused on Mexican handicrafts and items that support indigenous women; and a dopo, which offers preservative-free and baking-powder-free baked goods that go well with coffee. Each Yoyogi Village Shop will also offer Halloween and event menus. The garden, entirely produced by Seijun Nishihata, the fifth-generation plant hunter and flower and plant wholesaler "Hanau," will feature a photo booth with professional photographers. You can also enjoy live mariachi music, Mexico's signature music.
Candle Studio Daikanyama will be holding a "Colorful Pumpkin Candle Making" workshop (3,000 yen including tax, reservation required at http://candle-studio.jp/schedule/daikanyama.htm), where you can make colorful and pop pumpkin candles, as well as a face painting service with Catrina makeup (from 500 yen).
From 10pm, the adult Halloween party and DJ event "Halloween Party with SUPER Maison" will be held at the MUSIC BAR. Please wear the masks provided at the entrance to enter (entrance fee is free).
