artless appointment gallery, a reservation-only gallery located under the Nakameguro elevated railway in Tokyo, will be holding a collaborative exhibition with Kumamoto-based interior and lifestyle brand FIL from October 16th as part of DESIGNART 2017, a design and art festival whose main venue is the entire city of Tokyo.

FIL, which was launched this summer by FOREQUE INC, a forestry company in Minamioguni-machi, Aso-gun, Kumamoto Prefecture, is committed to creating products that can be used for a long time, and produces chairs, tables, interior accessories and other items using cedar wood that has been thinned to protect the natural landscape.

The materials used for the products were planted in Minamioguni Town by our ancestors and have been nurtured over the long period of approximately 250 years. This exhibition will introduce Phil's activities from three perspectives: interior design, fashion, and art. Through these, you will be able to experience the invisible bond between him and nature, such as his values that respect the landscape and his dialogue with nature.
