Gucci has announced a collaboration with the up-and-coming British artist, Unskilled Worker.
Gucci's relationship with Unskilled Worker (real name Helen Downey) dates back to 2015, when Creative Director Alessandro Michele discovered her work posted on Instagram and invited her to participate in a Gucci art exhibition. Unskilled Worker's work was then exhibited at the Minsheng Museum of Contemporary Art in Shanghai in October 2015, in the exhibition "No Longer / Not Yet." Since then, Gucci and Unskilled Worker have built a strong bond, leading to this innovative collaboration.

This collaboration results in an exclusive capsule collection of 40 pieces, including clothing, shoes, bags, silk goods and accessories, featuring Unskilled Worker's artwork. Each piece combines portraits and floral designs, drawn in Unskilled Worker's signature delicate and expressive style. The witty and playful artwork perfectly embodies Gucci's creative vision, which pursues a contemporary and eclectic romanticism.

The collaboration between Alessandro Michele and Unskilled Worker marks the first online-only collection, which will be released simultaneously worldwide (on gucci.com) on October 11th. The launch will also be promoted across all Gucci digital channels, and Unskilled Worker's work will be featured in central creative spaces across London, New York, Paris, Milan and Shanghai, including new art walls, street posters and outdoor gallery spaces.
In addition, from October 11th, a service will be launched whereby Unskilled Worker will be able to download a specially created artwork to celebrate this collaboration for free from the gucci.com and UnskilledWorker.co.uk websites.
