The second installment of the second season of adidas Originals and Alexander Wang's collaborative collection, "ADIDAS ORIGINALS BY ALEXANDER WANG," titled "DROP2," will be released on October 7th. The unisex collection will feature 36 items.
Following "Drop1," which was released on August 5th, "Drop2" aims to overturn the stereotypes of traditional adidas Originals, expressing classic adidas motifs with Wang's unique, unconventional interpretation. The bold unisex collection fuses the two distinct worlds of rave culture and bike messengers. Key pieces include ultra-lightweight jacquard pieces crafted from tonal jersey fabric. Featuring all-over adidas Originals and Alexander Wang logos, the collection comes in Solar Yellow, Green Night, and Classic Black.
Other items include the "AW Soccer Jersey" embroidered with an upside-down adidas Trefoil and the slogan "ALT DIMENSION," the "AW Jacquard Track Top" with the "ALT DIMENSION" slogan printed across the back and the brand's iconic three stripes asymmetrically stitched on the inside and outside of the arms, the matching "AW Jacquard Track Pants," and tops from the mesh series including the "AW Mesh Polo," "AW Mesh Tee," and "AW Mesh Track Top," as well as the "AW Windbreaker" windbreaker with an inverted adidas Originals by Alexander Wang logo all over it.
The footwear lineup includes evolved versions of shoes from Season 1. The collection includes the "AW Run Mid," which expresses the DIY spirit of New York City with its color-blocked sole; the "AW Skate Mid," which has a three-color rubber outsole and a suede upper; and the "AW Adilette," Wang's reinterpretation of Adidas' signature pool slide.
