PIERRE HERMÉ PARIS will be holding a one-night-only special event, "OTSUKIMI Party by PIERRE HERMÉ PARIS," on October 4th, the day of the harvest moon during the Mid-Autumn Festival, in the Rose Garden on the third floor of Hotel New Otani The Main.
In China, it is traditional to eat mooncakes, moon-shaped pastries filled with bean paste, during the harvest moon of the Mid-Autumn Festival. This time, Pierre Hermé Paris has introduced an original dessert, "Moon Cake," inspired by mooncakes and perfect for moon viewing. The adorable full-moon-like cakes in yellow and pink come in four flavors, including yuzu, matcha, and the signature Ispahan.
The party venue, the Rose Garden, was designed by world-renowned flower coordinator Kenneth Turner, and is filled with approximately 30,000 crimson roses of 30 varieties that bloom beautifully from May to June and October to November. Surrounded by bright red roses lit by the moonlight, guests can enjoy the Moon Cake and other classic sweets such as macarons, bonbons, and black sesame ice cream, as well as two of Pierre Hermé's special sandwiches.
