Takagi Reni of the idol group Momoiro Clover Z (Momoclo) was born on June 21, 1993, in Kanagawa Prefecture. Her image color is purple. Takagi was scouted by her current agency while in junior high school and entered the entertainment industry. She was an early member of Momoclo before its official formation and served as the group's leader at the time, but retired in 2008. She is now the oldest member. Momoclo is a five-member girl group affiliated with Stardust Promotion: Kanako Momota, Shiori Tamai, Ayaka Sasaki, Momoka Ariyasu, and Reni Takagi. Formed in 2008, the group's concept is "weekend heroines," as the members are all students. After performing street shows, they made their major debut in May 2010 with "Ikuze! Kaitou Shoujo," which quickly reached number one on the Oricon daily chart and number three on the weekly chart. On June 17th, they achieved the remarkable feat of having four albums simultaneously enter the top 10 of Oricon's weekly Blu-ray rankings, the most in history.

The jacket outfit for the first limited edition Type A (third format) of their second album, "5TH DIMENSION," became a hot topic as it closely resembled the 2012-13 AW collection of Ukrainian-born San Francisco-based designer Elena Slivnyak. Later, their label, Starchild, announced that they had obtained Elena's permission.
