This fall, Isetan Shinjuku offers a new yet nostalgic way to enjoy denim. The host is actress and model Akiko Kikuchi. Akiko, a hugely popular fashion icon for cultured girls, has teamed up with RED CARD, Japan's leading denim brand, and Lee, a brand that established denim as workwear and is popular with both men and women, to create a special pair of jeans.
A special video has also been produced to introduce the jeans, which are modeled after four sisters. A limited-time in-store event will be held at Isetan Mitsukoshi stores from October 4th to October 24th, featuring a wide selection of coordinating items to pair with the jeans. The full video can only be viewed at the event venue. Why not find a pair of denim pants that will change over the years as you wear them?
Eldest Daughter "LILY" Red Card (¥31,320)
Personality: The eldest daughter is reliable. She has an eye for beautiful things. She's consistent.
The same fabric as MARY is repeatedly bleached to create a "blue denim that's almost white." The buttons and rivets are all silver. Wide pleats on the front and back create a dynamic silhouette.
Second Daughter "MARY" Red Card (¥24,840)
Personality: The second daughter is charming. She's a boyish idol.
The silhouette has a deep, relaxed rise, yet hints of femininity. The texture is carefully crafted using a water wash and sun drying method. Selvedge denim made using a good old jet loom.
Third daughter, "WHIZZY" Lee (34,560 yen)
Personality: A hard worker who goes at her own pace. Has a desire to explore eccentric things.
Overalls with a distinctive wide opening in the front. Although it is classic workwear, the navy stitching makes it suitable for city wear.
Fourth daughter, "CEDDY" Lee (21,600 yen)
Personality: The free-spirited fourth daughter. A romantic and a big eater.
Cropped pants based on work pants, with tucks in the front and back to add volume. The large back pockets give it a charming look.
