Gallery Le Monde in Tokyo's Jingumae district will host "GARASUE," a solo exhibition by fashion industry illustrator Tomoko Hanamoto, from October 17th to 22nd. Hanamoto creates works using a variety of techniques, including KIRIE (cutout) pieces using colorful, self-colored paper and textured materials, as well as drawings, paintings, and objects. The exhibition will feature her new illustration series, "GARASUE," which features a unique adaptation of the classic glass painting technique. The misalignment between the lines and colored surfaces on the transparent glass gives her fashion-focused works, which include flowers, coats, shoes, mirrors, letters, wine glasses, rings, and perfume, a mysterious sense of depth and shadow. Additionally, KIRIE and objects will be on display, providing an opportunity to see a collection of stunning original artworks.
