Yuki Fujisawa's new brand "Overlace" debuts, offering a romantic collection that transcends the concept of lace

Saera, an Okayama-based apparel manufacturer specializing in lace clothing, will debut a new brand, "overlace," in the Spring/Summer 2018 season, under the direction of Yuki Fujisawa.

The brand name "overlace" was chosen to evoke the technique of layering colors and textures onto lace, and to express the brand's desire to "go beyond the conventional notion of lace." The collection features an abundance of rare and artistic French lace, offering a unique and romantic collection that combines unique designs with a vintage feel.

The debut collection features 16 items, including dresses, blouses, bottoms, and outerwear, priced from ¥18,000 to ¥120,000. The dress is a symbol of the brand, showcasing the delicate layering of colors unique to lace. The design lavishly incorporates seven different types of lace, primarily from France, and showcases Saera's signature couture techniques throughout. This vintage-inspired blouse is crafted from rough-textured linen for a voluminous silhouette. This playful piece, perfectly blending sweetness and nostalgia, can be paired with voluminous pants made from the same material for a unique matching look. Inspired by 1900s priestly robes, this lace gown features rare cord lace, typically reserved for weddings. The large ribbon and lace accents on the front add a touch of romantic elegance to any outfit. YUKI FUJISAWA is a textile brand created by designer Yuki Fujisawa.
