Dior and Birkenstock have collaborated to create mules and sandals that combine functionality and elegance.

Dior presents the "CD 1947" capsule collection, celebrating Kim Jones' dialogue with Monsieur Dior's legacy. Inspired by Christian Dior's love of nature and gardens, the pieces feature sportswear silhouettes and cutting-edge materials, perfect for the outdoors. T-shirts, shirts, sweatshirts, and Bermuda shorts are presented in a soft, bright palette associated with the House, ranging from light blue to beige, including "Dior Grey." The new "Christian Dior" signature and "1947," the year of Monsieur Dior's first fashion show, serve as emblems for the new line, adorning pieces such as the "Dior Grey" grained leather saddle bag. Dior has also collaborated with BIRKENSTOCK for the first time, reinterpreting two iconic designs: the Tokio mule and the Milano sandal. Both models celebrate the aesthetic of gardening and are endowed with functionality through rubber details and industrial buckles. The result of an unparalleled creative dialogue, the cork footbeds, crafted with BIRKENSTOCK's unique medical perspective, are lined with smooth leather, and the outsoles combine the Dior Oblique motif with BIRKENSTOCK's signature bone pattern. Combining functionality and elegance, and paying homage to Monsieur Dior's passion for gardening, the collection will be available in Dior boutiques nationwide and online from June 16, 2022.
