Akasaka Intercity AIR (1-8-1 Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo), a new landmark in the Akasaka/Toranomon area, will open on September 29th. Located in this international area, home to a concentration of embassies and foreign companies, and a crossroads of international cultures, this complex will serve five purposes: office, conference, retail, medical, and residential. Directly connected to Tameike-Sanno Station, the tower tower will be approximately 200 meters tall, and at its center will be a 5,000-square-meter green space—the largest in the area—providing a relaxing space where visitors can enjoy the changing seasons. The facility's commercial zones, divided into four areas, will feature 15 restaurants and cafes. Along the walking paths, where visitors can experience the changing seasons, will be THE ARTISAN TABLE・DEAN & DELUCA, a select shop offering a selection of delicious foods discovered during global travels. Additionally, Mauka Kitchen, a local Italian restaurant inspired by the urban sensibility of European immigrants and the comfort of Hawaii, will open.
Also, on the ground floor of the Tower Building, there will be the bakery restaurant Courtesy, with artist Noritaka Tatehana as creative director and responsible for the space design and menu development, and Bistro Buzz, based on the concept of "EAT LOCAL, DRINK GLOBAL" - a traveling bistro - where you can experience a "journey" through ingredients from Japan and around the world.
Furthermore, the Tower Building's dining area will feature Lawry's the Prime Rib, a prime rib specialty restaurant serving American-style roast beef made from high-quality bone-in beef rubbed with special spices and slowly grilled.
Furthermore, the Tower Building's basement will be home to a collection of restaurants based on the concept of "restaurants you'll want to visit every day." Restaurants offering reasonable and timeless menus include Gin Khao CAFE CALIFORNIA THAI, a stylish Thai restaurant inspired by California's beaches, sea breeze, and dazzling sunlight; Tori no Miyagawa, established in 1949 as a chicken wholesaler in Nihonbashi Kayabacho, Tokyo; Sharizu, a spin-off of Rokurinsha, the restaurant that sparked the tsukemen boom in the 2000s; and Hakata Motsunabe Yamaya, a motsunabe restaurant run by Yamaya, a chain of spicy cod roe restaurants.
