Prada will open a new pop-up store at The Stage on the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building from June 15th to 28th, 2022.

Inspired by Fritz Lang's 1927 sci-fi masterpiece "Metropolis," the store's interior reinterprets the film's fantastical sets and spaces. The space, divided by backlit graphics, evokes a futuristic megalopolis filled with countless windows, viaducts, and skyscrapers. Within this conceptual space, the Prada logo and the monumental "Metropolis" design lettering from the film are projected in contrasting white and red against a striking black and white pattern. A geometric arrangement of minimalist metal tables and units is placed on a white and aluminum diagonally striped floor. The display incorporates the same elements in different formats, emphasizing the overall aesthetic. This visually striking pop-up offers a specially selected range of clothing and accessories, featuring a deliberate selection of fabrics, including satin, stretch technical fabrics and the iconic Prada Re-Nylon, an innovative fabric made from plastic and textile waste, such as fishing nets, recovered from the ocean.

The collection features essential pieces in sophisticated hues such as blue and black, including jackets, pants, and Bermuda shorts, shirts with the brand's distinctive white and blue striped pattern, a black leather coat with a belted waist, and bomber jackets and pants that evoke the style of the 1960s. The iconic Prada Triangle bag, a reinterpretation of Prada's signature shape, is available in leather versions in black, white, and blue, featuring an embossed tone-on-tone logo on the front and an enamel-finished metal triangle logo on the back.
